Yelandy Tamayo Palma
I am a professional with academic training in Accounting and Finance, having graduated after completing my 12th grade studies at the Francisco Vicente Aguilera School.
My passion for teaching led me to work as a primary school teacher at the Rafael MarÃa de MendÃvez School between 2021 and 2023, after having worked at the Amado Estevez Bon School from 2013 to 2020.
Throughout my teaching experience, I have distinguished myself by my ability to understand and manage children's diverse abilities and challenges, demonstrating unwavering patience, empathy, and commitment to their social and emotional development. I am adept at recognizing and responding appropriately to students' emotional needs, motivating them to achieve their personal and academic growth.
In 2024 I expanded my professional preparation with courses in Introduction to Health and Safety in the Child Care Environment and Safe Sleep for Infants in Oregon, strengthening my knowledge in comprehensive child care.
I consider myself a person with a passion for teaching, empathy, patience, creativity, and effective communication, including active listening. I firmly believe in the importance of creating a positive, organized, and safe environment, fostering critical thinking, motivation, and continuous learning, while collaborating with families and colleagues to support the holistic development of each child.
